Technology and Language in Education: The impact of the new technology on the teaching language of Ireland 's 15 - year - old girl, Annie Moore, arrived in Ellis Island, New York on January 1, 1892. She was the first immigration office to come to America, but she is certainly not the last one. According to the US Census Bureau (2000), 28.4 million of the 285.2 million US residents in 2000 were born overseas. Because our large population is born overseas, the demand for effective language education is very big.
The research of this paper is based on the application of modern technology in the educational process of junior high school education. My research focuses on language courses in a technology-based environment, also known as technology laboratory, as a language teacher (French). In this article we will evaluate the usefulness and effectiveness of the language laboratory in teaching the secondary language (English, French, etc.) at the secondary school in Mauritius.
EDUC 573 is a practical course that focuses on the application of learning techniques to enhance the teaching and learning of English art as defined in the English core curriculum. Discussion will be given on effective use of technology for teaching literacy skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing of English native speakers and students of English learners. Criteria for evaluating software and various ways to integrate technology into the curriculum will be considered as it applies to the age / grade and content areas of the student's educational certificate. The course also studies the technology to allow students to work with staff at other schools and support them in developing their technical skills. It requires an open field survey of 10 hours. 3 Credits
I will prepare a language teacher so that I can effectively integrate technology into the classroom. Learn the theoretical foundation of computer-assisted language learning, the scope of use of classroom technology, and best practices. We cultivate student 's technical literacy skills and important ability to evaluate language teaching materials using computer. Focus on research in this field since 1970 and check the factors that affect second language acquisition. The topic includes roles of the primary language, roles of the first language, order of development, input, interactions, output roles, cognitive and character variables including age, and official guidance and modification roles.
