Puritan had little dramatic production from 1642 to 1660, but the theater suddenly resurrected. In 1660 Prince Charles was sent to France by his father during the British Civil War and was invited to return to the country, so it was called recovery in the UK. In stark contrast to the gray Puritan era, this is gay and exciting time. During the restoration process, a new indoor theater based on France was founded and a new generation of actors (women first participated in the British drama) appeared in a dramatic renaissance.
