In the United States, a vocational school is a two-year university covering business, finance, hospitality, tourism, architecture, engineering, visual art, information technology, and community work. Vocational school education is mainly focused on specific areas designed to train students to work in this field. Individual vocational schools are usually based on a specific career path. [1]

The Institute of Vocational and Technical Education is the largest education association in the United States aiming to promote vocational education and technical education for young people.

The technical school is also a term used by the US military for specific vocational training right after recruitment training. It is similar to the training provided by a two-year university, but avoiding the course that exceeds the minimum necessary to start working in the selected career area, training is more concise. In addition, training usually includes more than 9 hours a day. Military technical schools generally last 1 to 3 months, but some schools only have 2 to 2 years

After graduation, the newly hired employees at the military technical school can only be disciples and need to work under supervision until completing a wider vocational training program.
