America is a very unhealthy country. The citizen is educated enough to know that their dietary habits reduce their average life expectancy and reduce their overall quality of life. They may know this; however, the amount of food they chose to eat and the amount of food themselves do not prove this knowledge. Many Americans seem to be drowning in fat to remove the burden and pressure of life. Taxation on fat foods in the current US obesity culture only brings hope to medical systems and young people who have already failed. Because their health-related problems with obesity are shorter than their own.

The employment rate of obese people was reduced by 25%, resulting in a decrease in taxes and an increase in welfare expenditure. Taxing on high fat foods will result in people beingar the social costs of these foods. Raising the cost of unhealthy foods reduces demand and plays a role in lowering the level of obesity. Accepting people's payment of social costs will allow for more efficient resource allocation. To encourage a healthy diet (see negative external tax theory). Taxing on unhealthy foods is encouraged to choose healthier foods that help people improve health and reduce associated diseases. Obesity is not the result of all these fatty foods; heart disease, diabetes and many other diseases, they are all caused by behavior. Taxation on fatty foods that cause these diseases can change consumer behavior (Vijayaraghavan 1). An example of change in behavior is the price of gasoline, which is a change in the type of vehicle being manufactured. If you tax junk food, soda water etc., the price of fruits, water and more healthy food should also drop, which encourages consumers to buy healthy food.
