Self-assessment is the best way to determine your career goals and how to achieve them. Your personal taste, talent and skills, interests, values, life and work experience all play a part in the self-assessment process. This handout will guide you through this process and will help you to consider your long term career planning. You seem to need to do a lot of work, but please take the time to think about what you bring and what you want from your next job or internship. By considering all these self-assessment areas, you can find meaningful careers that include your personality preferences, talents and skills, interests, value, life and work experience.

For any student or work professional it is probably less troublesome than writing a self-assessment form. This particular configuration is an important self-analysis that encourages individuals to see themselves and see if they can identify their strengths and weaknesses. It may be difficult to think of yourself as part of school or professional assessment, but that is a challenge and you can manage it if you know the right way to make it easier. I understand that they are threatened by evaluating themselves, as most people are accustomed to letting others evaluate their performance.
