What do you expect from testing on a computer? When testing on a computer, you may be asked to present the correct identification card at the test center. After accepting, there is an opportunity to understand how the interface of the computer works before starting the test (how to answer questions, how to skip questions, how to return to skipped questions, etc.). Please watch the video you are expecting on the test day and see what the experience is like. The test included 90 selective questions in three areas of reading, mathematics, and composition. About two-thirds of each field is focused on basic skills and knowledge, and about one-third of each field is focused on applying these skills and knowledge in the classroom environment.
Please take the necessary test. After joining the teacher education program, most states need to take a standardized Praxis exam. In this exam, we will test on basic skills or specific areas. In some states you need to participate in Praxis I before starting teacher education program but in other states you need exam and Praxis II. Please consider to obtain certification of the national committee. Although this kind of certification is not necessary for education, it can increase the mobility of teachers in terms of their duties and bring further benefits. Depending on the school, if you are accredited by the National Council, your salary will rise, you will receive compensation for continuing education and opportunities for promotion may increase.
Who did the exam? why? Several universities use Praxis' core academic skills educator test (reading, writing, and mathematics) to evaluate participation in individual teacher education programs. Evaluation is usually done in the early days of college days. Many states require scores from the core academic skills test as part of the teacher license acquisition process. Do I need these tests in all states? Currently, Praxis test is required for teacher license of about 40 states and territory of the United States. These tests were also used in several professional licensing agencies and hundreds of universities.
