Symbollism in Goodman Brown

Because Goodman Brown is not only seeking guidance on his spiritual journey to Puritan, but he also sincerity it is dominated by the devil. . Hawthorne used a part of the history of faith in Puritan to help the reader better understand the story. Puritans believed the night forest to be evil, and those who entered must also be evil. Marriage between Goodman Brown and his wife is called faith. At the beginning of the story, Goodman Brown and faith only got married for three months.
