The poem "Sun and Moon" by Jack McPherson (born 1931) is a good example of a great poem whose author expressed his view in symbolism and allegory. The real meaning of the author's attempt to tell the audience is that men and women or love brothers can be together when the timing is right. Characters in this poem are very important for this theme, but may not be very active. The two main physical features of this poem are "sun".
The sun and the moon - the opposite of the narrator and John is represented by the symbol of the sun and the moon. The moon and the "crazy" hint are tied to the narrator, the sun representing tradition (and yellow) is paired with John. The narrator is represented by the moon, her husband is the sun and adds another layer to the text. These two things are exactly opposite and can not be together (metaphor). The narrator looks brave at night and tries to illuminate himself in the moonlight night: "This is the moonlight, the moon is shining everywhere like the sun" (652). The talker tried to tell John how bad and bad he became, but he insisted on talking in the morning (light of the sun). On this moonlight night, when the narrator started seeing the "faint figure" wallpaper, "It seems that she is shaking the pattern as if she wants to go" (652)
