Surrealism and Film

Surrealism is a movement based on the rapid development of work of art, psychology, thought. The art of Surrealism is often associated with Salvador Dalí's work using images and ideology to create relevance and creation of a new form of art without art. In this article we explore the beginning of the Surrealism movement including the Surrealism Declaration and emphasize the importance of these artists and their work since the 20th century. I look at the movie in the European movie curriculum and express how intentionally and unintentionally the movie is integrated into the influence of surrealism.

Film Ann Chen Andalu (Andalusian dog) is a surreal movie of Salvador Dali and Luis Bourneuel. This film was manufactured in 1929 and is considered the first film in a nonlinear state. The movie talks about church, art and society, and the audience retains an open explanation. After World War II, the nonlinear story developed from its early state, Jean Luc Goddard is famous. His work plays an important role in the nonlinear narrative approach. Jean Luc Goddard 's Le Weekend (Weekend) is one of the first movies to show the random nature of movie events. Chelsea Girls, produced by Andy Warhol in 1966, is a movie very similar to Le Weekend.

Both Fellini and Gilliam use various elements to create surreal movies. What stands out among the two movies is the color contrast and the color between the light and the atmosphere. At 8 feet, Fellini seems to be using glare at the spa's daytime scene. In fantasy scenes, Felini seems to use many artificial lights to make the scene bright and loud at high volume. Gilliam is trying to create a more dull and difficult atmosphere outside my dream. In stark contrast to Sam's reality, Gelliam makes them more realistic, like Fellini, by using fantastic and beautiful light for Sam's dream.

Sandbox is outdated, but it is a very interesting surrealist experimental movie. This is not a typical Streisand movie. Zindel and Kershner approached the boundary between realism and fantasy and caused disorder of sensation that caused confusion. It seems that it is gradually becoming obscure in a fairly clear way to incorporate reality into fantasy. It is difficult to know whether what we see is real or fantastic. When the midpoint of the movie arrives, the audience will doubt or doubt whether the person "perceived" as an illusion at the beginning of the movie is really "real".
