The EOPS program provides support services and programs for students in economic difficulties or educational disadvantaged positions, including vocational skills, career certificates or associate degrees, and / or transfer to a four-year university. Offers. Services include purchasing textbooks, academic and personal counseling, peer advice, peer counseling, and summer college preparation courses. In 1988, the New York State Legislature developed a family support service program to improve national support, strengthen families, and avoid foster parents. Three programs established under this initiative are as follows. Intensive families and family services, rest care services, and foster care. These efforts are based on an existing provincial prevention service program for families with children at risk of child rearing. The prevention service program developed by the Child Welfare Reform Act of 1979 is covered by 75% of the national funds and 25% of the local funds. Families are entitled to such services if they are considered to be at risk of raising children. Prophylactic services include case management and planning, clinical services, housewives, assistant / training for parents, daycare, transportation, housing aid, and other support services.
EOPS is a state-run student support service program. Its purpose is to provide qualified recruitment, maintenance and transition services to qualified students. The service provided is "outside the scope" of the service provided by the college student service. Major services include support in areas such as priority admission, counseling / counseling, preparation for transition to a four-year university.
