Superiority of Some Cultures to Develop Long-Lasting and Effective Democracies

After reading Diamond's texts and various articles from Culture Matters, I think that certain cultures are superior to other cultures in the development of sustainable and effective democracy. There is the possibility of a culture that accepts democracy and integrates it into society. Also, these cultures are often cultures that promote individualism, independence, and effort. In observing the countries of the world and their democratic struggle, I think Ingerhardt's view that wealthy countries, particularly countries with Protestant backgrounds, are developing and maintaining democracy (cultural issues, No. 7 I agree with the chapter). There are advantages. It is a government.

Ronald Reagan cited a Scottish philosopher who predicted democracy and civilization would not last more than 200 years. John Adams wrote: "Remember, democracy will not last long, it will soon get wasted, exhausted, killed, that there was democracy without suicide There was never a single reason. "One reason First of all, we can have a wonderful President, and we have a giant. Personality, honesty, and selflessness lead our country from the beginning. Everyone is not perfect: everyone must have made a mistake. But in any case, they are showing the desire to do the right thing for the US with freedom.

Experts and observers have long believed that people like Iran and culture do not like freedom and democracy. Certainly, the United States can not impose democracy on others, and should not. But depending on its nature, some people are not born to wish for freedom. The young men and women of Iran have a lifetime under the authoritarian regime and are standing up to pursue freedom which they have not known so far. The desire for freedom is deeply rooted; as our founder wrote, this is a self-evident truth. Some leaders can only try to rob the individuals from individual's natural freedom through the power.
