The New York Military Academy is a world famous university that not only attracts students from the United States but also attracts students from all over the world. Leaders other than ESL and ESL integrate all students into a unitary unit that teaches how to work with students of other cultures.
In the summer there are camps for lower grade students, such as the Jackson Hole Summer Science Camp, the Journey's School Summer Innovation Institute, and the Teton Valley Community School Summer Camp. In these camps, students can discover the environment, discover how various animals build houses, explore natural waterways, participate in natural hikes and camps. Cliff Valley School is certified by the Southern College and School Association and the Southern Independent School Association. Cliff Valley is also a member of the Georgia Independent School Association and a National Association of Independent Schools. There are about 300 students and 57 full-time teachers, most of them have postgraduate degrees. The turnover rate of faculty and staff is very low, maintaining continuity within school.
Summer camps and leisure camps are monitoring programs for children and young people in several countries during the summer. Children and youth participating in summer camp are called camper. Normally, summer school is an academic program necessary for students to complete unfinished work during the academic year. On the other hand, summer camps can include academic, but graduation requirements are not included. In a traditional view, summer camps are wooden places where hiking, canoeing, bonfires, changing, more people accept new summer camps and offer various professional activities. For example, there are performing arts, music, magic, computer programming, language learning, math, children with special needs, and weight loss camps. In 2006, the American Camp Association reported that 75% of the camps added a new plan.
In 2004, the Open Learning Institute held the first summer camp, 12 high school students worked as camp counselors, and 64 middle school campers served. At the summer camp in 2015, 130 high school students serve as camp counselors, and about 300 people from 3rd to 8th grades serve as campers. In the past eight years, seven 4 - H camp counselors at the Open Learning Institute have received scholarships from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Approximately 90% of camp counselors are receiving higher education. Several students have received a full scholarship to enter the prestigious university in the United States and several students have obtained degrees or acquired degrees.
