Sugar: Assessment Overview

In response to the prompts, the student wrote several papers: What is the purpose of the author writing sugar to change the world? How will their purpose be conveyed through their choice, organization, use of evidence, and the development of core ideas?

Students study the effect of sugar on nutrition. Then, the student writes an argument based on the research paper, (1) advocating the role of sugar, (2) prove the influence of sugar to the world, and (3) defend with evidence.

To provide evaluation and feedback to the students on this evaluation, create a sample of the student's response using the Teacher Response button (see Summary of Evaluation and Resources) and complete the student tracking progress record.
