Sudanic States and Swahili Coast?

I know that the influence of Muslims is the strongest in Sudan's state and Swahili coast, or at least that I think. But can someone help me compare and contrast the political forms of these areas?

Swahili 's coral town and Sudan' s West African countries have an interesting political structure.

The Swahili Coastal Civilization is surprisingly located on the coast of Swahili. Civilization grew along the 1,000-mile coastline on the east coast of Africa. Swahili is influenced by Arabic, Persian, Hindi, and Chinese culture. It is due to the long distance trade route through the Indian Ocean. In the 10th century, several city states prospered along the Swahili coast and neighboring islands such as Kilwa, Malindi, Gedi, Pate, Comoros, Zanzibar were born.
