Subdivisions of Corneal Ulcers and Treatment

Corneal ulcers and treated segmented eyes are one of the important organs of man. As shown in Figure 1, the eyes are composed of various parts and functions. The cornea clearly covers the colored iris and the pupil of the eye. The function of the cornea is to allow light to focus on the retina and protect the iris, lens and others so that it is visible. Strategies for preventing corneal blindness may be more cost effective, but visual rehabilitation of corneal transplant remains the primary treatment option for those already suffering from corneal blindness. Central corneal ulcer is also an important cause of monocular blindness worldwide and there are 850,000 corneal blindness only in the Indian subcontinent. As a result corneal scarring caused by any cause is now the fourth leading cause of global blindness. Eye injuries most commonly occur in people under 30 years of age, the main cause of blindness in one eye (one eye is blind). Injuries and cataracts affect the eye itself, and abnormalities such as optic nerve hyperplasia affect the nerve bundle that sends signals from the eyes to the back of the brain, causing vision loss.
