I will explain the difference between the concept of "society" and "culture" by taking the United States as an example. Society demarcates the boundaries of our lives. To fully understand the advantages and disadvantages of cryogenic technology it is necessary to understand what is low temperature technology and where it comes from. According to a study conducted by Tim Studt and Iris Polinski in 2003, the term freezing chemistry comes from two Greek words. "Kryos" means "cold", "gene" means birth or production. It was in the second half of the nineteenth century that scientists completed the technology to compress atmospheric gases into liquids. When stored as a liquid, these gases become extremely cold, and all metals in contact with ultra-low temperature show a change in properties. The study was continued and at the beginning of World War II scientists discovered that this low temperature material shows increased wear resistance. In the early 1960s, aerospace engineers applied cryogenic physics to parts used in spacecraft. Shortly thereafter, the army used cryogenic processing on the plane.

Materials used as internal parts of the reactor require unique properties for use at low temperature and high temperature. In particular, in some light water reactor applications, components such as fasteners, support beams, springs and lever guide pins require high strength as well as extreme corrosion and radiation damage. Inconel X 750 is commonly used in these applications. However, Inconel X 750 and other durable nickel-based alloys worked very well under light water reactor reaction conditions and noted the different breaks caused by intergranular stress corrosion cracking after prolonged reactor exposure. One characteristic of intergranular stress corrosion cracking in nickel based alloys is the conversion from grain boundary fracture mode to grain boundary fracture mode under toughness outside the nuclear reactor environment and reaction conditions with severe grain size.
