Student Membership FAQ

To become a member of NHS, you must be elected as a candidate by the teacher committee of your chapter. Students who meet the cumulative GPA requirements of each chapter will be members based on consideration of service, leadership and personality. You may be asked to fill out candidate forms created and distributed by the local branch. After evaluating the membership of the candidate, the membership is determined by the majority vote of the teacher committee. For details, please see How to become a student member.

Individuals usually participate as regular members. The association also manages students and elderly retirees. Applicants of members of all categories must be approved by the appropriate region or Secretary of State, or applicants of general members must be approved by the Secretary-General. Official members of the association can obtain online access to electronic copies of journals, biometrics, and JABES, as well as the newsletter "Biometric Announcement".
