Sleep is essential to our lives. When we sleep, our bodies will heal and regain their energy and prepare for the next day. But even though sleep is so important, 40% of Americans are suffering from sleep disturbances somehow. Insomnia is a sleeping disorder, people can not sleep or can not rest overnight because they can not fall asleep for a long time. Insomnia may be caused by systemic, chronic, or occasional stress. Mental, physical, and emotional stress leads to human sensitivity to insomnia.
Insomnia is very common in the United States. According to the National Sleep Foundation, 50% of American adults are experiencing insomnia. Insomnia can be related to physical problems such as stress, sleep apnea (when stopping breathing while a person is sleeping), sleepwalking, restless feet syndrome, or night fear. Depression is another possible problem. By following the recommendations above, a healthy sleeping pattern leads to a healthier and happier life. A nap can of course be part of this model and appears to be beneficial in both short term and long term. As with all health related issues, balanced diet, the proper amount of sleep and exercise is ideal for everyone. I have a dream!
More than half of cases of insomnia are associated with depression, anxiety or mental stress. In many cases, the person's insomnia symptoms and other symptoms can help determine the role of the mental illness in that person being unable to fall asleep. Early morning awakening may be a sign of depression with low energy, lack of concentration, sadness, and changes in appetite or weight. On the other hand, rapid sleep depression due to increased energy and sleep deprivation may be a sign of mania.
