Storming of the Bastille

The characteristics of a group are determined by its elements. The mob which attacked Bastille on July 14, 1789 was a group of fiercely angry, blood-hungry citizens. For the people of Paris, Bastille is a symbol of cruelty and totalitarianism. It is tiring of people for many stories from the walls of terrible torture and atrocities. For the people of Paris who attacked Bastille, this prison is a symbol of absolute monarchy France has suffered for a long time.
