Thomas J. "Stone Wall" Jackson Thomas Jonathan Jackson was born on January 21, 1824, in Clarksburg, Virginia. When he was a child, his parents were absent. He was raised by my uncle and moved to the current factory in Jackson, West Virginia. At the age of 18, he was appointed West Point.
