Public education is a new idea that threatens the narrow school tradition. America is a new place for German immigrants to call home and is not a place to rest until the next place is available. In particular the German Pennsylvania, this is Germany 's largest immigrant group, and is the focus of Nolt' s writing, making the United States its own place. Management of local governments such as federal taxes has been proved to be something that German Pennsylvania can deal with. This seems to be related to the fact that they are receiving local censorship at home.
In the early days of our republic, children went to private schools, had private tutorials, and studied at home. These methods work because the population is quite homogeneous and have common words and values. However, due to the increase in immigration, many people concluded that it is necessary to establish facilities for American children. Horace Mann has opened an office to promote common values through a common language to teach a common course. The structure, rules and expectations of the school also convey the values of these mainstreams. Success at school depends on children's hidden learning courses and educational courses
In many ways, my story is a typical American immigrant story with several different wrinkles. In 1988, I arrived in San Francisco as one of the five participants of the first foreign exchange high school program in the People's Republic of China. At the end of the academic year, I should return to China and start university education with exchange program of 1 year. In the spring of 1989, democratic student demonstrations were held at Tiananmen Square. In my community, I was speaking very frankly about the demo and its significance to China, but just before the end of the year I was advised to stay in America. There are rumors that students who returned home were questioned and arrested on arrival. Things that go home do not look good
When the first immigrants of the People's Republic of China arrived in 1980, the United States was open to friends and more familiar than the era of the former civil rights movement. New immigrants in China can study at elite universities and major universities, live in the suburbs, work at large corporations outside the national society. They have the opportunity to integrate into the American society in an important way from the beginning. However, as WeChat has become a major social media platform for new immigration in Mainland China, it creates a virtual wall around the Chinese immigrant community.
