Stereotypes of White Males

When people hear the word stereotypes, they usually think about blacks, Mexican, Native American, women and other races. Most people think white men have no stereotypes. Caucasian men are often considered to have more stereotypes about other races than stereotypes. In fact, white men will become stereotypes otherwise, like any other race. White men are classified as hatred, major racists, skin heads and excessive privileges.

Differences in founder's background: If you forget the stereotypes of Caucasian, male, computer science major from Stanford, they will go to Google and adventure. These founder comes from various backgrounds. In other words, the diversity of biography, race, and gender is higher than that of traditional technology startups. However, the founder is usually a woman or whole male and rarely mixes rarely (only 10% have male and female founder). Compared to 9% of technology startups supported by a typical VC, while one-third of companies have female founding fellows.

Men have movies, books, magazines, television, stereotypes of almost any type or medium, and male images show several types of male stereotypes. - In a culture that is fascinated with the use of technology it is important to pay attention to changes in the landscape of the media. Since media is prevalent in today's culture, it is important to understand the influence of media information on individuals.

We studied the stereotypes of scientists children develop in early childhood. Is the image of their scientists influenced by a general stereotype that a white coat male is wearing glasses and glasses? Does your student view science as a part of life or do you see science being done only in classrooms and laboratories?
