Starbucks STARBUCKS Case Study I. Case Overview / Company History Three entrepreneurs in Seattle established Starbucks in 1971. Their main product is the sale of all-bean coffee at the Seattle store. By 1982, the business grew to five stores that sell coffee beans, bakery facilities, and local restaurant wholesale trade. Marketer Howard Schultz was hired as a retail and marketing manager. He brought a new idea to the owner, but he was refused.
