"Starcraft Science Fiction Story 1" is the first book of the "Star Science Fiction Story Collection" series edited by Frederic Bohr. [1] It was first published without calculation by Ballantine Books in 1953 and reprinted as "first" in 1972. This book first appeared in Arthur C. Clark's short story "The name of 900 million gods." These books are widely acclaimed by critics around the world.

After that a series of follow - up books continued, each being edited by Frederic Bohr. They were reprinted in 1972 with John Barkey's new cover art. [2]
