Standing up for children's rights

SOS Children's Village has been active for nearly 70 years to support children who have lost childcare or are at risk of losing childcare. UNCRC recognizes the special rights of these children to protection and quality care under Articles 20, 21 and 25.

Children who have lost their care or are likely to be lost are in the most vulnerable position in our community against human rights violations. We will promote and follow the guidelines of the UN Child Alternative Care Group. SOS Children's Village makes an important contribution to this. This guide will be adopted at the UN General Assembly in 2009 and will serve as an international standard to ensure that children who do not care about risk or lose risk are appropriately protected and supported.

As an organization with extensive experience in providing high quality alternative medicine to children, we work with the government, the community and other related stakeholders to develop the capacity to implement the UN Alternative Medical Support Guide Develop. Given the growing global ties, we all need to concentrate on local and global children.
