Outside the United States, Japan, and China, I think the standard of living in Japan is the best. The first reason is their health. Life expectancy is the lifespan or health status of people in that country. In Japan, women live at 83.45 years old and men live at 77.13 years. In the United States, women live 79.75 years old and men live 73.04 years. In China, women are 71.9 years old and men live at 68.82 years old. Another important health factor is the number of beds. The number of beds is a serious medical problem.

Living standards are often used to compare geographical areas such as the living standards of the United States and Canada, living standards of St. Louis and New York. The terms living standard and quality of life are generally considered to be the same. Though they may overlap, there is a difference between the two. Living standards generally refer to wealth, comfort, material wealth, the necessity of a particular class in a particular field, or more objective characteristics, the quality of life is more subjective and intangible. Characteristics that constitute the quality of a person's good life may not necessarily be the same for others.
