Sports crowd violence: An interdisciplinary synthesis

Crowd violence is the usual feature of the world's audience sports. Modern studies recognize the diversity and complexity of this violence, but serious interdisciplinary research on this subject is still rare. This paper argues that it is necessary to strengthen interdisciplinary dialogue. In order to create a more comprehensive and analytical analysis that integrates the remote causes of violence in sports and closely related causes, we will consider ways to summarize topics and issues from different disciplines. The use of socio-ecological models shows that fans' violence arises from dynamic interactions among individuals, relationships, situations, social environments and social structural factors. It also outlined sustainability, such as the size, coordination, purpose, source, and social norms of violence in the sports population. This article finally introduced the direction of future research on the violence of the sports crowd.
