D. Lawrence's son and lover, THE PLOT is in the middle of England surrounded by hills and coal fields, home of Mores, a poor mine family. Families moved from the world to Bestwood Village, a complex of working-class town houses. Gertrude Morel is a small and sturdy woman with a third child of Paul (Paul), the protagonist of this novel. Other Mohr children are William and Ann. However, unlike his brothers and sisters, Paul was not accepted by his mother.
