Solomon vs. Socrates

Solomon and Socrates: Do they think about wisdom, where it comes from, and how is it taught? Solomon and Socrates are considered to be the smartest people in history. Solomon was a man of God who wrote rumors, sermons, and songs in the Bible. The great philosopher Socrates lived in the classical period of Greece. Their perception of teaching and wisdom is very different, but they have similarities. Solomon and Socrates have the same view of wisdom, but they have very different understanding of their source.

_ Usage of the Old Testament. _ In the Bible, Solomon showed how to use wisdom when teaching suffering and counseling. In evangelism chapter 12: 8-14, Solomon focuses on the direct need of people (v. 8). He says, "I am trying to find acceptable words, it is sincerity written and even the word of truth" (Ecclesiastes 12: 9-10; colloquialism) Solomon says that the wisdom of God is I understand that it is necessary to meet the needs (King 2: 3: 5-14). He also knows that it is necessary to convey the truth in the Bible and lead it to good health (Bible 12: 10). Solomon pondered and used the Word of God to satisfy the pressing needs of individuals. This is the essence of Christian counseling.

In my Psych 112 course, I learned about a series of experiments of Solomon Asch on integration and personality. In 1951, Solomon Ash designed one of the most classical social psychology experiments at Swarthmore College, with a total of eight students. However, 7 out of the 8 participants were actually members of the experimenter disguised as a participant who is also known as an alliance. The experimenter asked each of the eight participants to choose which of the three lines of the right card would match the line length of the left card. Repeat the same task several times with different cards. The correct answer is obvious. If a participant gave the wrong answer, it is obviously due to team pressure. Group pressure occurs when certain individuals in a group take consistency rather than relying on personality
