Sociology Observation of Two Advertisements

This observation work is very interesting as I become more conscious of advertisement. The two I chose were Gentleman's Quarterly (GQ) and Vogue in September 2014. The advertisement I have chosen is a representative cross section of typical advertisements in these magazines. We start with Vogue. At Vogue # 1 (advertisement at Ruddenberry in London), it seems that some outdoor party is ongoing. There is a person laughing when tea is poured. Some men are sitting on horses next to a young lady in a carnival mask.

If you are observing people, you can choose between two general ways of observation: participant observation and discreet observation. Participant observation is a common method of ethnographic research in sociology and anthropology. In this observation, researchers can interact with participants and become part of their community. The famous anthropologist Margaret Mead has spent a long time living and communicating with the community she studied. On the contrary, in moderate observation, it is not just to interact with participants but simply to record participant behavior. In most cases, people have to voluntarily participate in research, but in some cases it is acceptable not to let participants know that you are observing them. In places considered as public places such as campus food courts and shopping centers, people do not expect privacy, so it is generally acceptable to observe without the participants' consent.

Participant observation has long been an important social research tool in the sociology of social world and applied sociology. It is a complex combination of observation methods and techniques, interviews with information providers, interviews with interviewees, and document analysis. Researchers and social science practitioners gain meaningful knowledge about the existence of a particular social world by participating observations, experiencing "real" social environments, or through life experiences. The purpose of this paper is to provide practical proof of practicality to participants as a method of social exploration. In my opinion, regardless of the "religious" nature of Tablighi Jama'at, there are no other research methods besides observation by participants, whether qualitative or quantitative.

Research is an important and unique experience. In this section, in addition to being a social survey tool, I would like to say that participant observation is itself a research experience and therefore a form of applied sociology. I think that observation of participants is a typical relationship to application of sociological method - application of sociological theory and practice. Sociology encourages us to conceptualize social change as a continuous process and social research theory is a sociological research theory that we understand the new social world and maintain objective Teach us to continue to be positive. Nevertheless, although it has changed to some extent in the newly discovered society, more importantly, it is inevitably caused by sociologists' expectations and actions because sociologists are new and unique.
