Sociological Perspectives on Urban China

This paper provides a comprehensive review of sociological perspectives and research in seven areas of research on urban change and continuity in China over the past 20 years. We first evaluate sociological literature on stratification and inequality based on discussion and expansion on the domestic market. Then we evaluate social network research as a flexible resource that can influence social stratification and social change. Next, we will consider interdisciplinary research on immigration and immigrant labor and emphasize its sociological insights.
