Lev Semyonovich Vygotsky is a famous theorist who focused on the social and cultural development of young children. Lev Vygotsky believes in the importance of interacting with colleagues during the child's evolving learning process. Through the research of Vygotsky, he proposed the concept of near-end development zone (ZPD). The proximal development zone is the range of children's developmental abilities and abilities, children can complete the work themselves, need more experienced and knowledgeable people to help the child complete the work I will.

According to sociocultural theory, the development of children depends on social and cultural context. Culturally specific beliefs and practices in each socio-cultural context influence child development in a unique way (Berk, 2009). The purpose of this thesis is to study how the academic knowledge and temperament development of Chinese children are influenced by childcare of a certain culture in Chinese society. Bronfenbrenner's ecological theory and Vygotsky's socio-cultural theory are used to analyze the common practices of China's child rearing, hypotheses, beliefs and values.

The main point of Vygotsky is that the children are deeply rooted in various social and cultural contexts and their cognitive development is advanced through social interaction with more skilled people. Vygotsky's cognitive development theory focuses on more complex cognitive activities of children influenced and controlled by several principles. Believing that children actively build knowledge, Vygotsky's social and cultural theory is also one of the people who built the foundation of constitutionism.

Cultural history of Lev Vygotsky Cognitive development theory focuses on the role of culture in the development of higher psychological functions such as child's speech and reasoning. His theory sometimes is said to have a socio - cultural point of view, which means that theory emphasizes the importance of society and culture to promote cognitive development. Vygotsky believes that adults develop social development of cognitive development in an intentional and systematic way by participating in challenging and meaningful activities. In this course, I will return to the example introduced and explain the principle of Vygotsky's theory.
