In my music streaming service, my friends, some real world, and some online ones are a big resource for me. Their favorite albums and tracks, the created playlists, and their shared music helped me to make my listening experience and collection. I am not yet completely dependent on them. Because I am still looking for new tracks, new artists and old artist records. However, I value their opinions and personal preferences. They made me touched everything from abstract electronic parts to progressive metals

This paper focuses on social psychology and the musical hobby of music. It includes four major research questions: (1) Why do people listen to music? (2) Does stereotype of musical hobbies affect how individuals judge others or themselves? (3) Do people show group preferences to people with common musical tastes? (4) Does stereotype of musical taste influence the recognition of individuals other people? The results of this paper will help to emphasize music preferences as an important socio-cultural structure that can affect social cognition, perception and intergroup behavior. This paper also provides further insight into why people listen to music and why it is very important to them. The aim of this paper is to emphasize that music psychologists use the complete theory of mainstream social psychology to understand the possibilities of musical behavior.
