Social norm

Social norms show appropriate behavior and are classified as behavioral expectations or behavioral rules within the population of people (Dolan et al., 2010). Mutualistic norms such as reciprocity are different from market exchange norms (Ariely, 2008). Normative feedback (eg person's energy consumption level compared to regional average) is often used in behavior change programs (Allcott, 2011). Feedback to induce change in behavior is descriptive and can represent the majority of actions for comparison, be prohibited, or convey approved or disapproved behaviors. When bad behavior is dominant, the latter tends to be more effective (Cialdini, 2008)

Restrictions: The most obvious problem when defining abnormalities using social norms is the lack of a general consensus on social norms. Social norms have cultural characteristics - they can vary greatly depending on generations, race, region, socio-economic group. In some societies such as Zulu, street fantasies and screams are considered normal behaviors. Social norms also exist within the time frame, so it changes with time. Actions once thought to be abnormal may be accepted after a given time, and vice versa. For example, while drunk driving was once thought to be acceptable, it is currently considered unacceptable in society, homosexuality is another way. Until 1980, the World Health Organization (WHO) regarded homosexuality as a psychological disorder, but today it is considered acceptable.

Social norms are usually intangible forms of social technology. This is the result of social norms, spending time in public, wearing clothes, washing hands and spending time with family. This is the result of social norms, and we are expecting certain expectations as to how we should decompose our work / life and how each member of society should behave. Even occupational or occupational concepts are social norms. Credential information is a manual tag that allows people to identify experts and categorize others. One example is the university degree.
