Many teenagers use Facebook, Myspace, Instagram, Twitter, etc. as forms of communication without explaining many risk factors. Over time, more and more teenagers are using social networks to pose a threat. Social media can adversely affect young people by exposing young people to high-risk activities such as bullying, pornography, lack of privacy.
Along with the rapid development of technology and the Internet, people are concerned about the future of society as a whole. Many people think that in theory, social media has a negative impact on young people (usually teens) by reducing the amount of social interactions, but "reduction" of social interaction among young people I do not believe. Self-identity plays an important role in social interaction, but self identity comes from social media. Human identity is formed through feedback on self-awareness and accomplishment. With the recent invention of social media, people tend to be based on the latest trends in social media and the open image of "perfect character" that spoils their positive self-image.
Social media also has an adverse effect on young people. One of the negative effects is cyber bullying. This is currently very common in the Internet. This usually happens at social media sites. Cyber bullying is basically an electronic basic communication related to a tyrant. Usually we will send threat information. Social networking sites also have videos showing violence that may affect adolescent behavior. By observing violence, they become more aggressive, their family behavior changes, and their minds become confident and it may eventually affect social life . Another negative impact of social networking sites for young people is that they do not have strict privacy and that many personal information is being shared publicly.
