Social Media is Free Speech Gone Mad

Social media is "social interactive media that uses highly accessible and scalable communication technology, social media uses web-based and mobile technologies to convert communications into interactive conversation." The concept of freedom of expression is "right to express information, ideas, opinions." Social media has spread rapidly, problems have expanded, and exaggerated over traditional media.

Gab was founded in August 2016 with the mission of "Freedom of people and freedom of speech as a top priority". This philosophy is not extreme. Until a few years ago, major social media companies had freedom of speech as the basic principle. Twitter called itself a "liberalist of the Liberal Party." In 2013, the New York Times wrote, "Twitter has built a sensible reputation to protect even freedom of speech and unpopular freedom of speech." There was no rule on "hatred" until April 2015. However, in the past few years, many major social media companies including Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, Tumblr, Medium, Snapchat, Instagram, and Google's social media applications YouTube and Google+ adopt "disliked word" regulations doing. People believe that these regulations are controversial about hot issues such as immigration and crime but are used to examine opinions that respect them.

First, freedom of speech is the basic rights of viewers who use social media platforms and media tools. Such speech also contributes to the development of the country. For example, freedom of speech plays an important role in the market of ideas. That is the diversity of ideas and ideas.
