Social Learning Theory of Albert Bandura

The second theory described in this article is Albert Bandura's sociological study. Albert Bandura is a behaviorist theorist. Social learning theory is based mainly on behaviorism and cognitive theory. The main idea behind social learning theory is modeling and observation. An example of social learning theory in school environment is when a child is acting strangely while another child very familiar with it imitates their behavior. Because the key concept of this particular theory is imitation and modeling, the social learning theory is related to the early basic stages. Children of this level and age tend to duplicate others based on their behavior. They also tend to copy people who are role models to them.

For this task, I will study social learning theory. Social learning theory was originally proposed by Albert Bandura. This is the theory that "emphasize the importance of observing and shaping behaviors, attitudes, emotional reactions of others" ("Social learning theory", nd). Social learning theory has three main assumptions. First, the theory assumes that people can learn by observing others (Cherry, n.d.). Second, social learning theory is based on behaviorism.
