Social and legal barriers to homosexuals and lesbian parenting In the past decade, the number of lesbian and gay men has increased. Many people do this by methods such as adoption, foster parents, artificial insemination and so on. Today, researchers estimate that the number of children living with homosexual parents is between 60 million and 14 million. Some people express this period as lesbian and homosexual "baby boomer generation". However, lesbian and homosexual parents face many social and legal barriers (Lambda Legal Defense and Educational Fund, 1997).

As the social and legal status of lesbian and homosexual parents gets higher, some people are concerned about the happiness of children of these families. Most of these problems are based on negative stereotypes of lesbians and homosexual men. Most studies on this topic ask if the children raised by lesbian and gay parents are disadvantageous compared to children raised by heterosexual parents. The most common questions and answers are as follows. Parents of heterosexuality? For example, do these children have problems with gender identity and sex role behavior? The answer to the study is clear: Gender and sexual identity (including gender identity, sex role role behavior, and sexual orientation) of lesbian mothers are about the same among heterosexual parents' children. There are few studies on homosexual father's children

In the United States, research on the influence of homosexuality on children was first conducted in the 1970 's and was extended up to the 1980' s in the situation where increased homosexual parents seek legal custody of biological children. The general pattern of raising children from young children among parents' homosexual families is relatively new. In a review published in the Divorce and Remarriage newspapers in 1993, 14 studies on the impact of childcare on LGBT on children have been confirmed. In this review, we concluded that all studies lack external validity. "The published research database does not support the conclusion that there is no significant difference between lesbian mothers and heterosexual mothers."

Even the social stigma surrounding gay parents is alleviated - UCLA Williams Institute estimates that 6 million Americans have lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender parents a lot need to be considered there is. Homosexual couples with children must experience difficult puzzles of personal values, technical strength, mature doctors, donors of eggs and sperm, or agents. But this will change dramatically in the near future. The development technique called IVG, which is an abbreviation for extracorporeal gamete, allows homosexual couples to become pregnant with their genetic material, not others. They do this by converting their cells into sperm or egg cells.
