Social and Economic Problems Facing Native Americans

In the late 1870s, the war between the United States and India still continued, but another war began to oppose native American culture. That began with the US government taking out American indigenous children from their home, putting them in a boarding school far from home and teaching them white people. Since then, the Native Americans have been struggling to survive on the land they had been places of poverty and despair for years ago. Booking is one of the poorest places in the Western Hemisphere.

Clearly Native Americans face many problems. These problems result in impact on reservation. The main problem, alcohol and suicide is not only the Native American, but also the question that many people face in their lives. One difference is that these non local residents are by no means less than Indians.

One of the hardest problems faced by Native Americans is the lack of general knowledge about the legal and political status of Native Americans. Most Americans know the treaties in India but they are not aware that treaties are made among the countries Indian tribes are sovereign states. They do not understand that these treaties are not ancient history, but today's land law, and Indian tribes are sovereign governments. The United States consists of federal, provincial, and tribal government. It is three sovereign groups. The US Supreme Court recognized that the tribal government was the oldest sovereign state on the African continent, and sovereignty of the Native American preceded the sovereignty of the United States.

The important issue faced by the US government is the conflict in the Northwest. Native Americans fought American settlers in the northwestern part of the United States. Since Canadians did not want to be invaded by Americans at a later time, Native Americans were backed by Canadian support. This led to American failure in the battle between American militia and indigenous people. The General Pain Wade of Washington fought against the Indians. In the fight of a fallen tree, General Wayne broke Native American. After the Native Americans were defeated they signed the Greenville Treaty. The treaty stipulates that Native Americans must sell their land on the west side of the Ohio River. These are the smallest of the problems addressed in the US.
