Soccer in the U.S. doesn’t need a team in the World Cup. It’s already here to stay.

Many immigrants living in the United States continue to use football as their favorite group sports. The United States will host the 2026 FIFA World Cup to share with Canada and Mexico. Girls' professional football has not achieved sustained success in the United States. Following the two professional leagues in the early 21st century, the Women's Football Association (1999-2001) and the Women's Football Pro Soccer game (2009-2011), American Football founded a new national women's football league in 2013.
