Snake Handling, a Pentecostal Pastime

Pentecost celebrates the example of the Bible, and the flame of the Holy Spirit came down when the disciples of Jesus gathered in a secret room. The Holy Spirit transcends the heart, body and soul of these people, allowing them to speak in tongues. In today's Pentecostal worship, people are required to dance, jump, cry, sing, applaud or do anything necessary to sound the Holy Spirit in the body. With the handling of snakes, people can bring snakes to their hands and hand them to the Holy Spirit.

Some Pentecostal churches are engaged in dangerous habits of dealing with toxic snakes during their service; they teach that success is the gift of the Holy Spirit. They set this habit in Marco's Gospel 16: 18. "They take snakes by hand, they never hurt them even if they drink deadly poisons." This movement is contemporary (its basis is generally the first 10 years of the 20th century It is thought that it is the resurrection of the American street), but its roots are the sacred tradition of the 18th century Wesleyan, the sacred movement of the 19th century, and the Victorian Keswick Senior Life Movement

My grandmother is sanctuary of people who treat pentecost, snake and tongue. They scared me. I absolutely disliked parents to spend the night at home on Saturday night to attend parties and parties.
