Smucker bought an overview of Jif and Crisco. J. M. Smucker is a relatively old company. Established in 1879, it is a small business to cater locals. As business grows and inter-city traffic volume increases and becomes convenient, Smucker will begin production of other product lines. These include jams, jelly, candied fruits, ice cream toppings, peanut butter, drinks, etc. Today, we offer ready-made sandwiches. All the products offered by Smucker are products for the food industry with steady sales, when the children return to school throughout the year and during the peak season of the fall.
Since 1879, J. M Smucker has offered high quality products to consumers, but Jmomer Monroe Smucker, the founder of Smucker, introduced limited jams, jelly and candy products. Development of existing brands, launch of new products, and strategic acquisitions are the main corporate strategy of J. M Smuckers. These three strategies are concentrated mainly in North America. Today, Smucker has surpassed the manufacture and sale of fruit coating, retail packaging coffee, peanut butter, shortening and oil, ice cream ingredients, sweetness, condensed milk, healthy and natural drinks throughout North America.
Jerome Monroe Smucker founded JM Smucker in a small community in Olivil Ohio in 1897 about 1 hour south of Cleveland. Interestingly, the Smucker apple for the cider comes from an orchard originally grown by Johnny Appleseed (John Chapman). But due to the cyclical nature of Apple, Jerome needed to find another source of income that could profit through the year; he therefore added Apple's sauce made with his grandfather's recipe I decided to sell it. His grandfather's formula gave him a competitive advantage, at which point no one else seemed to have it. Recipes use a secret way to capture the often lost steam that penetrates Apple Sauce and introduce a unique flavor that attracts many customers to his factory and cream factory (CEO, 2001)
With its outstanding advantages, the company has become the number one food brand company in North America. Smuckers cautiously took over the acquisition of the collection of the new company. Smucker is trying to acquire only the famous brand, not building a new brand from scratch. They also focus on the only brand they think they can grow worldwide and reduce the number of items they do not want to buy. Smuckers can shift sales to products with high profit margins, increase efficiency and lower unit prices. When working with competing brand food manufacturers and private label makers, J. M Smucker never supports themselves. Smucker's strengths include the ability to maintain employee satisfaction and remain at the top 25 Fortune magazines.
