Smoking can cause lung diseases such as cancer, heart disease, stroke, diabetes, emphysema, bronchitis, chronic airway obstruction, etc. It can cause lung cancer and heart disease to people exposed to secondhand smoke. On average, smokers die 10 years earlier than nonsmokers.
