Sleep deprivation is pain all suffering in certain aspects of life for all adults, teens and children. Sleep deprivation adversely affects mood, productivity, immunity against infection, weight, reaction time, memory ability, blood pressure, and many other factors. (Psychology textbook, page 90) But what is the impact on the adolescent test scores? Most teenagers claim that they often feel sleep deprived serious effects, saying they want to get more sleep a week.

In the first test, they took the dogs from the night's sleep, measured their glucose tolerance level, and compared them with a dog without sleep. The results were obvious: Overnight sleep deprivation reduced insulin sensitivity by 33% compared to sleep-free dogs. In the second test, the team gave the dog a high fat diet to induce obesity for 6 months. They measured glucose tolerance levels again at the end of 6 months and found that high fat diet decreased insulin sensitivity by 21%. To my surprise, robbing a dog from a night's sleep after a 6 month high fat diet does not have any further effect on overall glucose tolerance.

Lack of sleep is a tragic experience, but most of the painful and debilitating symptoms are caused not by sleep deprivation itself, but by the actions it promotes. Separating these is an effective technique to combat the negative symptoms during a long sleep deprivation, reduce much of the pain and suffering, and restore some of your productivity and happiness You can create it. After insomnia, lack of sleep causes strong hunger and sugar craving, hunger increases and body's ability to metabolize glucose is impaired (similar to type 2 diabetes). When your body is exposed to some extra weight, your sensitivity to insulin will be diminished, which will exacerbate this problem.
