Skipping the Turnstile

I am 14 years old and like to be with friends when I am in high school 9th ​​grade. The only problem is that I can not get along with many of my classmates and children. Since I had to find friends elsewhere, I went downtown Manhattan from the downtown school to the lower Manhattan where I made a lot of friends like me. I will go out to always be late. My nighttime ban is 9 PM and it may be later than scheduled, but I think it is too early.

Among all Billy Joel's albums, my favorite is Turnstiles. In addition to being my hometown of "New York Mindset" and being one of my favorite songs "Prelude / Angry Young Man", I learned that the story is very beautiful and eye-catching. Regarding Billy Joel, my favorite is that many of his songs are not love songs. They deal with the state of the person and often deals with his own inner conflict and life experience. In fact, there is no track about revolving doors related to romance.

In the video on the Facebook page, Joel leads the audience to the story of the revolving door. He explained that this is "New York City led album." When Billy was in Los Angeles in the 1970s, he decided to return to his hometown listening to the way New York became the default. In the video, Billy remembers "I want to return, I want to return home, I will go to the city if the city collapses." This is the essence of the rotating door. In addition to the story and music, the cover of the revolving door also inspired my love of the album. In his video, Billy points to people staring at the cover of the abandoned subway station, and explains how each person represents an album song. I got the MTA dataset for the revolving door of the New York subway station. Therefore, usage data is normally transmitted every 4 hours from the revolving door. In this project we counted the number of people within 4 hours and generated the same number of red spots to go to the subway station. In this way, the density of the points shows the congestion of the station.

Revolving doors usually can receive fares through a Suica card or paper ticket placed on one side of the revolving door and must be removed from the other side of the revolving door. This is necessary to leave the ticket gates at the passenger's destination station. I had kept it on the revolving door, so I decided to prevent other passengers from leaving the station. Fortunately, the information desk could adjust the fare and issue paper tickets for me. Even if you purchase Suica cards, this error will no longer be repeated.
