When my sixth grade language art teacher called me and asked to write this letter to her current sixth grade to read and talk, I remembered how irrational you are I can only do it. Junior high school is a big deal. You are now an older girl on campus and take much responsibility in your mind. You need to talk about this part and play a role. And the most important thing is to play a role of mature popular middle school student. What I want you to know is that I am very worried about those who think you are very cool.

Kaitlin Pennington: I am teaching sixth grade English and language in Washington, DC. One of my favorite memories is to see students reading while waiting for lunch. During the summer I donated, organized, flattened and placed the books on the library's shelves in the classroom. I have developed a system for students to find and check out books with appropriate reading levels. My students had lots of choices and I was surprised at the beginning of reading. I will never forget my happiness, when I look to the corner of the restaurant to see they are reading, I do not know what happened.

Kirsten Schmitz: I taught English art for 6 years at Irving, Texas for 6 years. (I am teaching English at Washington English Center.) My former student has still asked me "Vocab-aerobics". Preview the word from the text of the day, including definitions, sentences, pictures, and some sort of physical action - exaggerate your shoulders for "depression" or exaggerate control. We will compare to the comprehensive Richard Simmons-meets-Dance Moms ("Make aerobics practiced" or "Make sure you are stretching first, Vocab-aerobics is a high-intensity training") I will passion. It is incredibly sticky, I still still compliment them (mostly) very humorously to me. Teaching has changed my life. Needless to say a sense of humor, it is privilege that you can support and witness the students' dedication, motivation, and consideration.
