Single System Design

The feasibility of using a single system design evaluation method is an important topic in the social work field. In this study, we address this problem by examining the extent to which behavior therapists actually use various single system designs. In addition, this study also looked at the impact of practitioner's characteristics on the use of a single system design. The results show that practitioners are not using inferencing single system designs fully, they are using more flexible evaluation designs (eg B or AB only). The results of this study suggest that social work educators should spend more time teaching evaluation designs than emphasizing too much a single system design that is unlikely to be used in practice I suggest that.
