Single-Parent Families

Journal articles talk about the difficulties that a single parent family faces, such as emotional problems, housing pressure, economic pressure. It creates different views from different literature and suggests ways to fulfill the needs of a single parent. There is no doubt that children and parents from a single parent family will have more emotional, personality and interpersonal relationship problems. The purpose of this reflective paper is not to further explore the symptoms described above and the relative impact it will have on life and society.

Although the term "single parent family" is well known, as a result of careful study, the exact definition of a single parent family is not so clear. Families are often (but not exclusively) identified based on shared living space and emotional ties, and support relationships between members. "Single parent" means that one mother or father is responsible for taking care of one or more children under the age of 18. For the purposes of this article, a single parent family is defined according to these guidelines.

A single parent family consists of one parent raising one or more children. Usually, a single parent family is a mother with children, but there is also a single father. A single parent family is the greatest change seen by society from the viewpoint of changes in family structure. One in four children is born to a single mother. Single parent families are usually very intimate and find ways to work together to solve problems such as partitioning housework. When only one parent is at home, only one parent is at work so it may be difficult to find a nursery. In many cases, this limits income and opportunities, but many single parent families are backed by relatives and friends.
