Single Mothers of Autistic Children

Experience and recognition of social support for a single mother diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder This study explores single mother's view on social support of children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. It will use a qualitative framework with a rational theoretical approach. There are two well studied stressors that affect the life of a single mother of a child diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder: nurturing a child with special needs and becoming a single mother.

In the research published in Journal of Family Psychology in 2016, "Single mother choice: mother-child relationship for children and psychological adjustment" compares children of single mother and children of parents. The age of children is from 4 to 9 years old. And 50 families with independent mothers and 51 parents - and all are conceived by donors. Susan Golombok and colleagues at the University of Cambridge used a series of interviews on psychological problems such as reports of parents, researchers, and teachers, ADHD and autism. The results of the investigation of the two family types are the same on a series of measures: warmth, confrontation, stress, adjustment problems, mother's happiness. At the time, autism was considered as a kind of schizophrenia. Mother was accused of being the cause of the disease. Mothers with autism children are accused of having a cold with autistic children. They are nicknamed "mother of a refrigerator". The experts suggested placing a temple at the school, but her mother refused to listen. She has helped the temple adapt to the world throughout her life. Her mother made Temple a speech therapist and helped her learn the language through one-on-one treatment. The school found the machine and made the temple dismantle it. The school insists that this is a sex machine. The school abandoned it. After that, Temple and my aunt came to school to convince the school to use the machine. Temple studied the machine and tried to prove that the machine was just a quiet device. She is allowed to keep it, and sometimes it calms down from me

This experience is awake. I saw autism children in elementary school, junior high school, high school and interacted. And I have not seen anyone in my course - Of course there are "comprehensive" ordinary teachers for special education teachers, teacher's assistants, and some students. Of course, this is not specific to DISD. The problem is that few people actually know about autism or what it is. As a result, I saw teachers and assistants trying to dialogue (and train) autistic children like mere neurosis children with behavioral problems. But this is a misunderstanding. But this is their cure. So I saw very smart young men and women in high school, and they barely received education they might have accepted.
