The World Direct Sales Association Association (WFDSA) defines direct sales as "direct sales of products and services to non-fixed retailers' consumers through face-to-face approach". Robert, Peterson and Wotruba (1996) also explains direct sales as face-to-face sales without a fixed retail website. It can also be described as a way of distributing consumer products or services via contact with people (salespeople and consumers) and at different establishments.
